Lisa Martin has been a nurse for over 35 years and working as a nurse practitioner for most of those years. She joined our practice in 2007. Lisa inherited her heart for helping others from her missionary parents: she grew up watching her parents at work in Honduras in their orphanage, clinics and churches. Lisa completed high school in Honduras and shares her Spanish speaking skills with many of her patients and others here in central Arkansas. Lisa is a nursing graduate of The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and earned her master’s degree at The University of Central Arkansas in 2002. She is a diabetes educator and has training as a lactation specialist.

Lisa and her husband Dr. David Martin have three grown children and seven grandchildren. They are involved in many ministries at Antioch Baptist Church and host a small group in their home each week. Lisa has served on numerous community boards including those of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Conway Interfaith Clinic. She regularly participates in and leads overseas missions trips. She and David enjoy travel and scuba diving in addition to time with their children and grandchildren. Her coworkers appreciate the dedication she shows in caring for her own extended family and for people in our community.
