Misty Birdwell, A.P.R.N.

Misty Birdwell is an Advanced Practice Nurse (Family Medicine) working full-time in our Greenbrier office. Misty is originally from Morrilton, Arkansas and completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at The University of Central Arkansas before joining The Children’s Clinic in 2004. When Misty was a teenager her father had a major health issue and Misty was thrust into the world of intensive care and his ongoing medical needs. Misty had great appreciation for the nurses and doctors who explained her father’s condition and treatment in ways she could understand. She began to see herself as one called to care for patients and their families. Now Misty loves “growing up with” her young patients and their families, from meeting newborns and their sometimes anxious parents to helping teens overcome some of the challenges of adolescence.

Misty and her husband Randal have raised their two children in Greenbrier and are very invested in the local community. Their son attends Greenbrier High and their daughter is a student at The University of Arkansas. Misty loves seeing her patients at school activities, around the community and at New Life Church in Greenbrier. Misty enjoys collecting antiques and is an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
